Hello, everyone! I'm Allyson, and I'm a developer.
Yes, my opener needs some work, it has that stereotypical AA ring to it. Really you could Google "Best Openers For Networking" or even "How To Start A Pitch" and you will get so many opinions on how to... and I have in the past. But let's be honest that would not be me, I'm the one standing with the black belt in awkwardness. I'm sure some of you feel me on that.
Anyways, I'm new to this community and I'm not even sure where to begin... Maybe updating my info on here is a good start.
Well a blurb about me professionally. The last year plus I've been focused on grooming myself into a web developer, and I am comfortable to say I am a seasoned Jr Dev. I've built a range of cool things like email marketing temples, data structures from planning to birth, and cleaning up existing code just to name a few. I worked with a really cool group in Baltimore called ignition72, where I was able to sharpen these teeth on some nummy projects. I am currently looking for my next adventure, a slew of rad challenges, and will be keeping my eyes open for opportunities that may pop up here. This is truly a great time to be a woman in tech.
Me personally. I enjoy going to conferences because of the learning and meeting new people, even though the second part feels a little awkward at first. I love my time with friends such good times, and those people get me quarks and all.
My current obsessions/hobbies. Tearing apart a Subi motor that I just swapped out to see if a can fix it, taking interesting photos, dressing stylee and sharing workout videos.
